Aaron career goals to football goals
No two weeks are ever the same and I rarely work from one place for long. I travel the country to referee National League football and so I’m often setting up to work 100+ miles away from my home office.
Grant Thornton is really supportive and allows me to work flexibly around my football commitments. I loved the idea of getting a professional qualification whilst also working full time. I first found out about Grant Thornton’s school leaver apprenticeship from my teacher at college. I now manage the firm’s relationship with my old sixth form and think it’s important we continue to provide advice to students on the opportunities available.
I have two long-term aspirations for the future. The first is to continue to progress at Grant Thornton and see where my career takes me. The second is to referee the World Cup Final. You won’t regret choosing a career in accountancy. It opens up so many opportunities. One of the standout client experiences for me so far was being driven round the test track at a sports car manufacturing site and having a tour of the factory.
