The online assessment

Our online test was created with Cappfinity (specialists in strengths, potential based recruitment) and combines situational judgement and cognitive (numerical reasoning and critical thinking) testing into an assessment that gives a realistic preview into life here at Grant Thornton. 

The test works by judging your typical reactions, feelings or behaviours against a realistic scenario-based set of questions. You will also complete technical questions based on a case study of information, testing your verbal and numerical skills.

4 key technical skills we look for

Presents the test-taker with realistic, hypothetical scenarios and ask's the individual to identify the most appropriate response or to rank the responses in the order they feel is most effective

Measures your ability to reason through an argument logically and make an objective decision. It assesses your problem-solving and decision-making skills

Measures your ability to deal with numbers quickly and accurately. These tests typically contain questions that assess your knowledge of ratios, percentages, number sequences, data interpretation, financial analysis and currency conversion.

Assess your ability to understand and comprehend written passages. They are designed to measure your verbal comprehension, reasoning and logic, all through your understanding of language.

At the end of the test you will get a personalised report sent to you, that highlights your strengths and
development points.
