Hi, my name is Sophia and I have just started my 12-month Audit Placement at the Reading office. t Grant Thornton they throw you in at the deep end! – I was working at a client’s office in my second week! At first, I was really nervous as I did not know what to expect, but everyone was so welcoming which made me feel really relaxed.
Since I joined Grant Thornton, the one aspect of the firm that has really stood out to me is the people. From the moment we started, everyone has been welcoming and energetic; this helped settle the nerves we had and gave us a glimpse of the famous GT culture that is often talked about.
After having secured a 12-month placement at Grant Thornton in mid-February I didn’t give it another thought, choosing instead to focus on more pressing issues such as my looming second year university exams. I joined Grant Thornton on the 4th of June 2018 as a summer intern in audit for six weeks.
